The Constitution of India is a social contract. It is the source of all rights of the people. It is supreme. No citizen of India can maintain any rights or grievances against it. The courts also cannot maintain any grievances against it.Those obeying it will enjoy freedom and those acting against it will forfeit their freedom. It does not grant any immunity to any Member of Parliament (MP) to act against it in the Parliament. Further, it does not recognize any power above it. The Indian courts can undertake a review of anything except the Constitution of India. The Constitution of India -just like all other constitutions- gives the procedure for amending and repealing it. The Parliament cannot use this provision to repeal the same provision. The courts must impart sanctity of law to the Constitution of India. As law is immutable, a constitution also is immutable. Therefore, the law prohibits amendments. The USA did not insert the amendments into the body of its Constitution but appended them with the Constitution. However, the USA must separate them from the Constitution and treat them as acts. The present citizen of India told the President of India and the Supreme Court of India, on January 13, 2018, that the Constitution of India cannot be amended. All citizens of India have an absolute right for the Constitution of India enacted in 1950. This book deals with the day-to-day politics of India for fifty-five days from 15 August 2020 to 9 October 2020 in the light of the Constitution of India and the Supreme Court of India.
